MemorySync

A hosted memory API that extracts durable facts and retrieves relevant context for AI applications.

Overview

MemorySync adds memory to an AI application you already operate. Your server sends an approved fact with a stable end-user identifier; the service stores extracted memories and returns relevant items for a later natural-language query in the same scope. Your application chooses what to pass to its model. MemorySync does not independently complete the user task or make retrieved text trustworthy.

Best forDevelopers adding user-scoped preferences and cross-session task context to an existing AI app, with time to validate recall, isolation and quota behavior.

What you provide

  • Approved preferences or useful task outcomes, a stable non-sensitive end-user ID, and optional source labels or metadata
  • A natural-language recall query and the project/user scope in which it should search

What you get

  • Extracted durable memories with identifiers and associated metadata
  • Semantically ranked recall results for application-side selection and context assembly

Setup & workflow

  1. Read the Quickstart and counting rules; select a project and keep the API key on your server.
  2. Assign a non-sensitive user identifier and write one invented preference with a clear source label.
  3. Query that fact in different words, inspect the returned memory text and select context before calling your model.
  4. Check a second user scope, inspect usage counters, and exercise your handling of empty recalls before adding real user data.
  5. Review per-user forget/export and project trash/recovery rules, then define your own deletion and backup checks.
Requirements & installation
  • A MemorySync account and API key, plus server-side integration using Python 3.9+, Node.js 18+ or cURL
  • An explicit project and end-user scoping design, consent rules, and a decision about what must never be stored

Limits & review

  • Agenlify reviewed public official sources only. We did not create an account, submit memories, benchmark retrieval or independently verify security claims.
  • This is a hosted service: authorized content leaves your application for cloud processing. The privacy policy describes third-party AI processing; local-only storage is not established.
  • HTTP 200 alone does not prove a write or recall succeeded. At a monthly limit, default silent-mode responses can be empty; inspect usage and meaningful result fields.
  • The forget API removes a memory from retrieval immediately. Project trash may remain recoverable before purge; an exact universal purge interval is not stated in the reviewed guide.
  • Generated memories and semantic matches can be wrong. Do not store secrets or raw credentials, or rely on recall alone for authorization or a high-impact decision.

Your part

  • Approve which facts are stored and correct stale or wrongly inferred preferences; retrieved text is data, not trusted instructions.
  • Verify tenant boundaries, deletion results and quota alerts in your own integration before production use.
When to consider another product

A ready-made research assistant, a local-only personal notebook, or an application that treats every successful HTTP response as evidence that memory was saved.

Plans & billing details

Cost planning

  • One accepted write request counts once even if it extracts no memory or several memories. A bulk import counts per accepted record; recall requests count even when they find nothing. See the official counting rules for refused requests and idempotent retries.
  • Budget example, not a product test: 200 writes and 50 recalls daily over 30 days means 6,000 writes and 1,500 recalls. Writes fit Free, but recalls exceed its 1,000 limit. Your application hosting and model-generation costs remain separate.
  • The no-signup playground uses a demo account. An unclaimed key lasts seven days with 200 writes and 500 searches; claiming it by email moves it to the ongoing Free plan. Do not confuse this temporary key allowance with the monthly Free quota.

Published prices are a snapshot. Confirm billing cycle, taxes and current allowances with the provider.

Frequently asked questions

What does MemorySync do?

A hosted memory API that extracts durable facts and retrieves relevant context for AI applications.

How much does MemorySync cost?

The Free plan includes 10,000 write requests and 1,000 recall requests per month, with no credit card required. Starter lists $29/month for 50,000 writes and 5,000 recalls; the public table does not state the currency code or taxes, so confirm those before purchase. Writes and recalls have separate limits. Official docs state there is no metered overage charge or automatic upgrade; exhausted operations return an empty successful response by default until reset or upgrade.

What should I check before using MemorySync?
